I chose to take this class because I was in Multimedia in 7th and 8th grade so I thought why not expand my photography knowledge? So that’s exactly what I did this trimester. I realized how much more I learned in this class and how much harder it was than Multimedia. I think this class was harder because we learned about more than just one camera, all the parts of the camera, what all of the settings are and what ones to use in the situation you’re in, different composition techniques, and learned how to do really cool things in photoshop that I always wanted to know how to do and I never thought I would be able to do them. This class definitely helped me as a photographer because I know way more now than when I did when I walked through these doors on September sixth. When I first started I had no idea what an ISO was, or that you need to think about so many things before taking a quality photo. I also didn’t know one thing about photoshop and how many things you could do with it. I’m not the best photographer now but I’m way better now than before. The first day we had to take pictures I didn't think about anything and I just shot the picture. I also didn't change any settings, as a matter of fact I didn't even know what the majority of them were. One thing I learned in photoshop was that you need to pay attention and take it slow because a lot can go wrong if you rush through it. A couple things I have learned while taking photos are making sure you have all the correct settings, use a composition technique so it makes the photo more interesting, and to take more than one picture because you could have missed something in the first one or the picture is just not that great so you could potentially have a much better one if you take more than one. Here are two examples from how I've changed as a photographer this trimester. beginning of the trimester: End of the trimester:
